Randall Terry (D)

Experience: Pro-Life Activist
Residence: Washington, DC
Family: Married, 7 children
Official Website:

Randall Terry (born 1959) is a pro-life activist and a candidate for the Democratic nomination for president in 2012. His chances of unseating incumbent President Barack Obama for the party’s nomination are none to nil. He is a founder of Operation Rescue, known for its aggressive tactics against abortion clinics, including having organization members chain themselves to clinic front doors to restrict access. He has run for Congress, once in New York and once in Florida as a Republican, but was not elected. He lacks organization and visibility here in New Hampshire for the first-in-the-nation primary. And, when it comes to issues, he’s basically a one-note singer: Anti-abortion. His Operation Rescue is probably more well known as an organization than he is as its founder. Whether he can trade on one for the other remains to be seen but is highly unlikely.
