                                  ------------------------------------------------------------------
Participation is open to NH citizens and free

STATEWIDE, N.H., April 19, 2010— The Live Free or Die Alliance (LFDA), a nonpartisan New Hampshire nonprofit organization that serves NH citizens by providing objective information about issues and candidates; promoting the civil exchange of opinions in a variety of forums, online and in person; and sharing citizen views with NH government decision makers, will host a webcast event Monday, April 19th at Noon with special guest Senator Jeanne Shaheen. WTPL radio host Jack Heath will serve as moderator.

The webcast is free and anyone can log in and participate in the live event. Citizens have the opportunity to submit questions to Sen. Shaheen, and watch online as she answers live.

The webcast is one of several events hosted by the LFDA in order to give New Hampshire citizens better access to their state and local representatives through an objective platform. Past webcast guests include Governor John Lynch and Senator Judd Gregg. The LFDA has also live streamed the debate between state Republican party chair John Sununu and Democratic party chair Raymond Buckley and has plans to do more.

The LFDA was founded and continues to be supported by people who want to preserve NH’s rich history of independent thinking and citizen-centered government. The group’s website was launched to marry twenty-first century communications technology with NH’s traditional approach to informed voting and debate. With over 2,500 members and growing daily, citizenship and informed debate is prevalent throughout the LFDA’s online social platforms including the website’s Virtual Town Hall, Facebook and Twitter. Members suggest new issues, comment on proposed legislation and post blog discussions to incite conversations.
