Civic Engagement

Constitutionally Speaking

New England Center for Civic Life
The Center for Civic Life is dedicated to the teaching, practice and study of deliberative democracy. The Center's initiatives and research are based on the premise that in order to foster strong communities, based on principles of inclusiveness and equity, individuals must engage in thoughtful and civil dialogue.

NH Listens
New Hampshire Listens works at the local and state level to facilitate and support civil, public deliberation of complex, polarizing issues. We share resources on dialogue design, train facilitators, and work with local and state leaders to create opportunities for informed conversation on social, economic, and policy matters.

Leadership New Hampshire

NH Institute of Politics
“The NH Institute on Politics is founded on the premise that an informed and involved citizenry is an essential element of a well-functioning democracy. Americans for Prosperity: New Hampshire
Americans for Prosperity is a grassroots movement of over 2.3 million activists nation wide who advocate and promote limited government, lower taxes, and more freedom. We have over 29,000 activists across the state of New Hampshire who are taking action every day on behalf of the free market movement and influencing decision makers.

Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers
“We are a 100% New Hampshire-only grassroots taxpayer advocacy group that strives to keep taxes low, government small and honest, protect individual rights and freedoms, and preserve the "New Hampshire Advantage". Granite State Priorities

NH Center for Public Policy Studies

NH Citizens Alliance

NH Fiscal Policy Institute
Founded in 2009, the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute (NHFPI) is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to exploring, developing, and promoting public policies that foster economic opportunity and prosperity for all New Hampshire residents, with an emphasis on low- and moderate-income families and individuals.

NH Forum on the Future

“The New Hampshire Forum on the Future -- comprised of business, education and public policy leaders - is committed to ensuring a workforce of highly educated and well-trained citizens to sustain New Hampshire's economic prosperity.”


Conservation New Hampshire
Founded in 2004, Conservation NH Voter Center has been leveraging the political process in NH to ensure that elected leaders take strong action on environmental issues at all levels of government.

Cornerstone Policy Research
“Cornerstone Policy Research is a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)3 research and education organization dedicated to the preservation of strong families, limited government and free markets.  We believe that the traditional family is the fundamental building block of any healthy society, and as such, deserves to be protected and strengthened.”

NH Civil Liberties Union
The New Hampshire Civil Liberties Union was founded to defend those freedoms which are guaranteed to every individual by the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution.

NH Families for Education
NH Families for Education is a volunteer-run, non-partisan political action committee that was founded in March of 2010. It is dedicated to advocating family involvement in education.

NH Liberty Alliance
“The New Hampshire Liberty Alliance is a non-partisan coalition working to increase individual freedom in New Hampshire. We do this by monitoring bills in the legislative sessions and encouraging private charity, a civil society, and citizen involvement.”

NH Public Interest Research Group
NHPIRG is a consumer group that stands up to powerful interests whenever they threaten our health and safety, our financial security or our right to fully participate in our democratic society.

NH Women’s Initiative
“The New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Women, the Women’s Lobby and Alliance, and the Women’s Policy Institute merged together to form the NH Women's Initiative.  The Initiative's mission is to advance social, economic and political opportunity and equality for women in New Hampshire.”

Victory NH
“Victory NH is a network of activists and activist groups, focused on two goals: Seeing to it that political dialogues and debates are about issues and ideas rather than polls and politics. And demonstrating, once and for all, to the candidates, opinion makers, media, and the country at large why New Hampshire is uniquely qualified to begin the process by which we pick our Presidents.”
