Originally from family-owned farms in the Midwest, Dean moved to Amherst, NH with his wife and two of their children. Previously, he volunteered to serve in the U.S. Army in 1964 before working in a steel mill in Ohio and then pursuing a degree in that same state. From there he spent many years in New York City working for “most of the banks we now love to hate.”  Defining himself as a Classic Liberal and a Subsidiarity, Dean filed for the Republican nomination to the 2nd District seat.
